Do I need a dedicated number to send an SMS campaign?


You can use a shared number to send SMS campaigns, and to receive replies to those campaigns.

The only time you must have a dedicated number is if you only want to receive SMS. 


The difference between the two is that if you send a campaign with a shared number and any of your recipients reply, we can track the reply back to the sending campaign. However, if you don't have a campaign that we can link that inbound SMS to (that is, if you create a "receive only" SMS Campaign), then we need something to link that incoming SMS to your account, which in this case will be your dedicated number.
